Sobre todo, cuando llega el domingo y se hace la paz. Me gusta trabajar el domingo porque mientras todos descansan el ambiente invita a crear. Son esos domingos desapacibles para todo el mundo en los que me gusta encerrarme en mi mundo de esculturas en bronce, bocetos, figuras en cera partida y nuevas creaciones de piezas en bronce.
O esos domingos de calor en el que existe un éxodo masivo de niños y adultos hacia piscinas, playas y ríos. La saturación genera embotamiento; y este, en última instancia, es el responsable de la estandarización. Todos cortados por el mismo patrón; todos efectuando los mismos movimientos. Lo fácil.

Os hago esta pequeña confesión porque durante la Feria de Oficios Artesanos de Burgos (puedes ver aquí algunas fotos y vídeos), más de uno y más de dos de los que se han acercado al stand para conocer la obra que ha sido galardonada con el primer premio que tuvo a bien otorgarme la organización, lo demandaba.
¿Cuál es el mejor momento para crear?
Bien es cierto que, en realidad, no existe el mejor momento. Solo se da un momento, una idea. Que se decide llevar a la práctica, primero con un bosquejo en el que determino hasta qué punto puedo realizarla; después, desarrollándola en mi mesa de escritorio de toda la vida, ajada de los años y del trabajar sobre ella.
¡Si esta madera os contara! Tiene todos mis secretos, así que procuro mimarla para que no vaya contándolos al viento…
En ocasiones me gusta jugar con ellas. Unir caprichosamente al genio y su lámpara a otra compañía. La socialización, aunque sea en mi mente, es la mejor vía para explorar nuevos caminos y oportunidades.
Os invito cortésmente a hacer la prueba: sal de la rutina que te lleva a la ciudad y las aglomeraciones y dedica el domingo a crear cosas con tus manos. Espero que me cuentes tu experiencia y tu vivencia dentro de no mucho tiempo.
